ANNA-TERESA TYMIENIECKA (1923-2014)
The World Phenomenology Institute that she founded and directed for close to fifty years is deeply saddened to announce to its members and the world philosophical community at large the recent death of Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka on June 7, 2014.  Her contributions to phenomenological research in the form of her voluminous publications, most importantly her four-volume Logos and Life and the multi-volume Analecta Husserliana, and her tireless travels throughout the world in support of Institute conferences and publications in collaboration with a vast international cohort of philosophers are of inestimable value and an incomparable accomplishment.  Requiescat in pace.  May she rest in peace.

Bulletin Board (11.12.12)

The cosmic dimension of life as the crucial ramification of the ontopoietic unfolding of life.  The pioneering work of phenomenology and human positioning in the cosmos brings out the long forgotten issues concerning cosmos and human being.   Phenomenology and the Human Positioning in the Cosmos (Analecta Husserliana, Vols. CXIII and CXIV) emphasizes the Life-World, Nature, and Earth.  We invite you to join us in this extraordinary new venture in approaching the cosmos.  In fact, the present day reflection throws a unique light at the cosmos in view of scientific emphasis on the universe.
